volunteer opportunities in your community
There are lots of different ways you can become involved in your
community. Many colleges are looking for teens who have given at least
75-100 community service hours. By volunteering, you’ve not only
made a difference in your community; you’ve also helped yourself build a well-rounded college application.
- For a list of agencies
in your area that need your help, you can check out www.volunteermatch.org.
Just plug in your zip code and they’ll
do the rest.
- If you don’t find what you’re looking for there, try
www.pointsoflight.org. Give them your
zip code, and they’ll give you the number to your local volunteer agency.

near you about volunteer
opportunities, checkout
